Incident: resumption of normal delivery process for items requiring signature on delivery

Further to previous incident bulletins on the subject, Hongkong Post, the People’s Republic of China’s designated operator for the territory of Hong Kong, wishes to inform that Hongkong Post's delivery process for all items requiring signature on delivery is returning to normal.

With effect from 3 January 2023, when performing at-the-door deliveries of letter-post, parcel-post or EMS items requiring signature on delivery, the postman or postwoman will again obtain a signature from the recipient.

In case of an unsuccessful at-the-door delivery attempt, the addressee will receive a notification asking them to collect the item from a designated post office, in line with the normal procedure. The collection arrangements at post offices remain unchanged.

Macao Post, the People’s Republic of China’s designated operator for Macao, wishes to inform that, in view of the latest developments in Macao with regard to COVID-19 and the ensuing human resources arrangements, the delivery of letter-post items, advice notes for parcel-post items and EMS items is currently subject to delays.
 

Malaysia

Further to previous information on the subject, the designated operator of Malaysia, Pos Malaysia, wishes to inform that the situation with the postal network having been severely affected due to heavy rain and widespread flooding has returned to normal and that all postal operations were back to normal as of 29 December 2022.
 

Malta

Further to Incident Bulletin 02.12.2022, the designated operator of Malta, MaltaPost, wishes to inform that the industrial dispute with its last-mile delivery staff has come to an end and that postal services have resumed as normal, effective from 1 December 2022.
 

Pakistan

Further to Incident Bulletin 02.09.2022, the designated operator of Pakistan, Pakistan Post, wishes to inform that the delays and disruption to mail operations are under control, and that mail delivery in the areas affected by flooding has improved significantly.
 

Peru

Incident: state of emergency

The designated operator of Peru, Servicios Postales del Peru S.A. (SERPOST), wishes to inform that the Government of Peru has declared a state of emergency of the national road network and in the regions of Arequipa and Ica, as was already in place in the provinces of Apurimac and Cusco. New demonstrations are currently taking place, including in Huánuco, Tingo Maria, the province of Pachitea and Jancao.

The state of emergency took effect on 10 December 2022 and will remain in place for 30 days.
 

Thailand

Further to previous information on the subject, the designated operator of Thailand, Thailand Post, wishes to inform that the rain in the southern part of Thailand has now ceased. All postal operations have therefore resumed as normal with effect from 30 December 2022.
