The designated operator of Australia, Australia Post, wishes to inform that Australia will hold a National Day of Mourning to commemorate the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as a one-off public holiday.

Postal services and post office opening hours may be affected by public holidays. Post offices will generally be closed, and no mail or parcel deliveries will take place, including express items. Designated operators may wish to advise their customers to allow for additional delivery time when sending items to Australia.

Honduras

Incident: processing of inbound international mail
Further to incident bulletins 02.10.2020 and 02.11.2020, the designated operator of Honduras, Empresa de Correos de Honduras (Honducor), wishes to inform that Honducor has been working jointly with the customs authorities to establish arrangements for the processing of postal items, and can now accept postal items destined for Honduras.
For the time being, inbound and outbound international mail will continue to be processed at the Tegucigalpa office of exchange (IMPC code: HNTGUA). Designated operators are also requested to inform the airlines carrying their postal items that the airport for the offloading of dispatches will be Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (IATA code SAP), located in Lima, San Pedro Sula, Cortes.
Designated operators should ensure that their postal authorities liaise with the transport providers contracted to transport mails to Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport, where they will be received.
Honducor will inform other Union member countries and their designated operators should the customs authorities require additional information regarding the receipt of postal items.

The designated operator of New Zealand, New Zealand Post, wishes to inform that the Government of New Zealand has announced a one-off national public holiday to mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
On Monday, 26 September 2022, all parts of New Zealand will observe a national public holiday. This public holiday will be observed in 2022 only, and not in future years.
Postal services and post office opening hours are affected by public holidays. Post offices will generally be closed, and no mail or parcel deliveries will take place, including express items. Designated operators may wish to advise their customers to allow for additional delivery time when sending items to New Zealand.

Further to Incident Bulletin 08.07.2022, the designated operator of Sri Lanka, the Department of Posts, wishes to inform that postal operations in the country have returned to normal with effect from 12 September 2022. It is resuming processing and delivery of inbound postal items, and outbound mail operations will also resume as normal, subject to the availability of flight connections.

Incident: one-off national public holiday
The designated operator of the United Kingdom, Royal Mail, wishes to inform that the day of the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be marked as a nationwide public holiday. As a result, all Royal Mail services will be suspended on Monday, 19 September 2022.
Designated operators are requested to continue to export international mail to the United Kingdom as usual.
