Further to Incident Bulletin 16.07.2021 and 02.07.2021, the designated operator of Thailand, Thailand Post, wishes to inform that the Thai Government has extended the nationwide state of emergency with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic for a further two months, effective from 1 April to 31 May 2022. The restrictions announced previously will continue to apply.
 

China

The designated operator of China (People’s Rep.), China Post, wishes to inform that, in order to prevent further transmission of COVID-19, the processing of inbound mail is temporarily affected at Changchun and Yanji mail processing centres, and suspended at the Shanghai office of exchange (OE) and Shanghai airmail unit.

Currently, China Post cannot process or transport to sorting centres/delivery offices inbound mail received by the above-mentioned offices of exchange which directly delays the processing, transiting and delivery of inbound mail, as well as the updating of EDI messages and responses to online customer inquiries. China Post therefore requests that the designated operators of other Union member countries adjust their airmail dispatch arrangements as per communicated specific instructions.

As a result of the impact of COVID-19, China Post is therefore also declaring a situation of force majeure in regard to the above offices of exchange for all inbound letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items.


Hong Kong

Incident: coronavirus - resumption of airmail centre operations

Further to Incident Bulletin 25.02.2022, Hongkong Post, the People’s Republic of China’s designated operator for the territory of Hong Kong, wishes to inform that operations at airmail centres have resumed as normal.
 

Peru

Incident: strike

The designated operator of Peru, Servicios Postales del Peru S.A. (SERPOST), wishes to inform that freight carriers initiated a national strike on 4 April 2022. Consequently, the Peruvian Government decreed a state of social immobilization on 5 April 2022, which will result in delays in the processing of mail items (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).
 

Malaysia

Further to Incident Bulletin 07.01.2022, the designated operator of Malaysia, Pos Malaysia, wishes to inform that the situation has returned to normal and all postal operations resumed in the first week of March 2022.
 

Israel

Incident: security situation

Further to Incident Bulletin 14.05.2021, the designated operator of Israel, Israel Postal Company, wishes to inform that mail distribution and collection (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) in the south and centre of the country are no longer subject to interruptions and delays as a result of the security situation.

In addition, the health situation restrictions communicated in previous messages are still in place.
