Incident: severe weather
The designated operator of Australia, Australia Post, had informed us that its daily operations are currently suffering disruption, in particular in the states of Queensland and New South Wales, owing to severe storms, heavy rain and flooding across the country. The processing and delivery of inbound and outbound mail items are affected.
As a result of local road closures and access issues, the implementation of safety measures and the closure of several post offices, delivery to certain postcodes is limited in flood-affected areas. The list of affected postcodes areas is updated daily and is available on Australia Post’s website at auspost.com.au/service-
Australia Post will continue to monitor the evolution of this situation and will provide updates on the impact and management thereof over the coming days.
Moldova

Incident: : airspace currently unavailable
The designated operator of Moldova, Posta Moldovei, had informed us that, owing to the situation in Ukraine, Moldovan airspace is temporarily restricted for civilian air transportation. Posta Moldovei is working with its postal partners on alternative surface transportation routes.
It is continuing to receive, process and deliver inbound and outbound postal items, and all post offices are fully operational but there may be short delays to the deliveries.
Slovakia

Further to Incident Bulletin 26/11/2021, the designated operator of Slovakia, Slovenská pošta, informs that the measures aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19 have been lifted, and postal services have returned to normal from 1 March 2022.
Thailand

Incident: flooding
The designated operator of Thailand, Thailand Post, informs that continuing rain in the southern part of Thailand has caused floods in the provinces of Songkhla, Pattani and Narathiwat (postcodes 90210, 94XXX and 96XXX).
Blocked roads are leading to delays in transporting and delivering mail to addresses, and customers are facing difficulties accessing postal services at post offices in these areas.
Ukraine

Further to EmIS No. 38/2022, the designated operator of Ukraine, Joint Stock Company “Ukrposhta”, wishes to update on the situation with postal operations following the Russian Federation’s military actions towards Ukraine
Situation as of 10.00 on Monday, 28 February 2022:
1 Despite ongoing heavy fighting in Kyiv, other major cities and other locations in Ukraine, Ukrposhta has opened post offices in 20 regions, so that customers can receive pensions and other benefits, and receive parcels. The working hours of most open post offices will be reduced to enable staff to return home earlier.

2 With road access for postal exchanges with its centre in Kyiv severely limited, Ukrposhta has moved some outbound mail processing operations to the Lviv office of exchange.
5 Many designated operators have asked how they can help Ukraine, so a special “Help Ukraine” project (helpukraine.center/en) has been launched to provide humanitarian aid. Currently, the project involves one warehouse in Poland, but more will be added, probably also in other countries. A green corridor will be organized for such humanitarian aid. Those wishing to help Ukraine are asked to use this special warehouse as a transhipment terminal.
If postal customers abroad wish to send aid to specific addressees in Ukraine, they are kindly requested to send it in closed transit via the Polish, Slovak or Latvian Post. The value of such private parcels may not exceed 100 EUR.

Vietnam

The designated operator of Viet Nam, VNPost, informs that its operations are currently disrupted by a large number of employees having contracted COVID-19.
VNPost will continue to provide postal services, but until further notice the processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will be impacted and VNPost will be unable to guarantee compliance with the published standards.
