The signature will preferably be given by the OPT-NC official, once the addressee has authorized this; in cases where an addressee does not agree to the OPT-NC signing the proof of delivery, it will be signed by the addressee him or herself.
  • Letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items requiring the addressee's signature on home delivery by an OPT-NC postman/woman: the postal official will identify him or herself to the addressee, step back two metres, and then, in agreement with the addressee (and following checking of the identity document if appropriate), collect the name of the person taking receipt of the item and sign the proof of delivery on their behalf; in this case, the item will be deposited on the doorstep, and the person receiving the item will not directly sign the proof of delivery.
