Lithuania

The designated operator of Lithuania, Lietuvos paštas, asks us to inform that the Government of Lithuania has extended the full national lockdown until 30 June 2021, in order to control the spread of COVID-19.
While the lockdown remains in place, postal services will continue to operate subject to certain restrictions. The processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will continue to be affected, and Lietuvos paštas is unable to guarantee compliance with the usual delivery standards. Therefore, the situation of force majeure declared previously will continue to apply.
Malaysia

The designated operator of Malaysia, Pos Malaysia, informs that, in response to a significant number of new infections detected in the country, the Malaysian Government has both extended and reinforced its measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 with effect from 28 May 2021.
During this period, Pos Malaysia will continue to provide postal services, but will be operating with a reduced workforce and in line with the new restrictions and safety guidelines. The processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will continue to be affected, and Pos Malaysia is unable to guarantee compliance with the agreed standards.
Therefore, the situation of force majeure previously declared continues to apply, until further notice.
Mauritius

The designated operator of Mauritius, Mauritius Post, wishes to inform that the Government of Mauritius has extended the current lockdown until 30 June 2021.
Therefore, the situation of force majeure previously declared is extended until further notice, and the restrictions announced previously continue to apply.
Nepal

Nepal Post informs that the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has partially lifted the suspension of international flights to and from China (People's Rep.), Qatar and Turkey, with effect from 1 to 30 June 2021, with the airlines of these countries each permitted to operate one flight per week.
The operation of cargo, rescue and evacuation flights will be carried out subject to special permission. Two flights per week will be permitted between Nepal and India under the air travel bubble arrangement effective until 30 June, subject to certain conditions. The partial lockdown has already been extended until 3 June 2021.
These measures may result in delays in the collection, transportation and delivery of mails. Nepal Post will continue to be unable to accept outbound mails to countries other than India, until such time as the passenger flights normally used to transport mail are resumed.
New Zealand

New Zealand Post informs that heavy rain in the South Island of New Zealand since Monday, 28 May 2021 has led to significant and extensive floods and landslides, road closures, and bridges damaged and destroyed. A state of emergency has been declared for the entire Canterbury region. Landslides and floodwaters are expected to continue to disrupt road transport and travel, making some roads impassable and isolating communities. Helicopter rescues have been in operation lifting people to safety, the army has been deployed to assist with evacuations and Civil Defence has set up emergency welfare shelters.
New Zealand Post’s Southern Operations Centre (SOC) in Christchurch (the administrative centre of the Canterbury region), the main hub of the delivery network in the South Island, has been negatively impacted in managing the flow of mail around the island. Delivery operations are suspended in all areas where the state of emergency has been declared, and operational teams have been instructed to cease delivery in any areas where conditions are deemed unsafe by the authorities. Transport, processing and delivery operations for the entire South Island (postcodes 7000 to 9999) are likely to be disrupted, and New Zealand Post has declared a situation of force majeure.

Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Colombo. Increased rainfall and related flooding have been recorded in Colombo and surrounding areas. Reportedly, the Kelani river overflowed and lead to flooding that is causing disruptions to ground transportation routes. The affected areas include Horana, Agalawatta, Bulathsinhala, Millaniya, and Madurawela.
