Chad

The designated operator of Chad, the Société Tchadienne des postes et de l'Epargne (STPE), asks us to inform that the country’s authorities have decided to reopen Chad’s air borders on Thursday, 14 January 2021.
Inbound and outbound postal services have therefore returned to normal. However, owing to the lockdown in the city of N'Djamena, the STPE is not currently able to process postal items sent to or from the rest of the country.
Czech Republic

The designated operator of the Czech Republic, Česká pošta s.p., wishes to inform of the relocation of its CZPRGA office of exchange. The relocation will take place on 23 and 24 January 2021. During this period, operations at CZPRGA will be suspended.

Jamaica

The designated operator of Jamaica, Jamaica Post, wishes to inform that the Government of Jamaica has extended the national curfew until 28 February 2021.
Revised working shifts/hours will continue to apply across the entire postal network, affecting sorting operations, mail delivery and the dispatch of mail vans, as well as the timely provision of EDI messaging updates and responses to online customer inquiries.
The force majeure situation previously announced continues to apply, with an impact on quality of service for all types of mail, including inbound and outbound letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items.
Korea

The designated operator of Korea (Rep.), Korea Post, asks us to inform that all postal operations are back to normal as of 18 January 2021.
Morocco - end of strike

The designated operator of Morocco, Poste Maroc, would like to inform that the strike launched on 6 January 2021 has ended. Postal operations have resumed as normal, with effect from 18 January 2021.
Portugal

The designated operator of Portugal, CTT Correios de Portugal, informs that, in response to a significant number of new COVID-19 infections, the Portuguese government has both extended and reinforced the general lockdown in place throughout Portugal at least until 30 January 2021. Further measures are expected from the Portuguese government before the end of the month.
During the lockdown, CTT Correios de Portugal will continue to provide postal services but will operate with a reduced workforce and subject to the new restrictions and safety guidelines. The processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will continue to be affected, and CTT Correios de Portugal is unable to guarantee compliance with the agreed standards.
Given the current uncertainty with regards to the international transport network, CTT Correios de Portugal maintains the suspension of transit à découvert and closed transit operations for both letter mail and parcels.
Therefore, the force majeure situation declared previously remains in place until further notice.
Samoa

The designated operator of Samoa, Samoa Post, informs that the Government of Samoa has extended the state of emergency until 17 February 2021.
As there is still only one cargo flight into and out of the country per week, Samoa Post requests that all mail to Samoa be sent as closed transit through New Zealand. All inbound mail is subject to a three-day quarantine upon arrival and delays in the delivery of mail are therefore to be expected.
