Chad

The designated operator of Chad, the Société Tchadienne des postes et de l'Epargne (STPE), asks us to inform that, as part of a reinforcement of sanitary measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, a lockdown has been implemented in the capital, N’Djamena. This lockdown is effective from 4 January 2021 for one week and may be extended.
All inbound and outbound passenger flights to and from N’Djamena have been suspended during the lockdown.
Barbados

The designated operator of Barbados, Barbados Postal Service, informs that, owing to the spike in the number of COVID-19 infections, the Government of Barbados has imposed a night curfew from 31 December 2020 until 14 January 2021 between the hours of 21.00 and 05.00. For this reason, service delivery standards for letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items have been affected and a situation of force majeure has been declared until the situation returns to normal.
Jamaica

the designated operator of Jamaica, Jamaica Post, wishes to inform that the Government of Jamaica has extended the national curfew until 15 January 2021.
Revised working shifts/hours will continue to apply across the entire postal network, affecting sorting operations, mail delivery and the dispatch of mail vans, as well as the timely provision of EDI messaging updates and responses to online customer inquiries.
The force majeure situation previously announced continues to apply, with an impact on quality of service for all types of mail, including inbound and outbound letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items.
Korea

The designated operator of Korea (Rep.), Korea Post, asks us to inform that several cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among the workforce of the Seoul office of exchange. As staff shortages are therefore expected during the coming weeks, significant delays in the processing and delivery of both inbound and outbound mail items will be inevitable.
Latvia

The designated operator of Latvia, Latvijas Pasts, asks us to inform that the Latvian Government has extended the state of emergency until at least 7 February 2021.
Therefore, the situation of force majeure previously declared is being extended until further notice, and the measures announced earlier continue to apply.
During the state of emergency, postal services will continue to function with restrictions such as reduced working hours in post offices and reduction of the workforce to minimize contact between people. Items normally requiring the addressee’s signature upon delivery will be handed over without signature.
Morocco - strike & floods

The designated operator of Morocco, Poste Maroc, would like to inform that a strike launched on Wednesday, 6 January 2021 is disrupting postal operations. Mail processing and delivery and processing of inquiries are affected, impacting on quality of service measurement indicators.

Slovakia

the designated operator of Slovakia, Slovenská pošta, would like to inform that, in response to a significant number of new COVID-19 infections, the Slovakian Government has extended the general lockdown in place throughout Slovakia at least until 24 January 2021.
Although Slovenská pošta will endeavour to minimize the effects of this extended lockdown, there will nevertheless continue to be a direct impact on the collection and delivery of domestic and international mail
Spain - snow storm
