Denmark

The designated operator of Denmark, Post Danmark (PostNord Denmark), wishes to inform that the additional measures implemented by the Danish Government in seven municipalities to minimize the spread of COVID-19, as per Incident Bulletin 13.11.20, have been lifted with effect from 23 November 2020. However, with reduced air capacity, delays may still be evident.
Jamaica

The Government of Jamaica has extended the national curfew until 1 December 2020.
While the curfew is in place, revised working shifts/hours will continue to apply across the entire postal network, impacting on sorting operations, mail delivery and the dispatch of mail vans, as well as the timely provision of EDI messaging updates and responses to online customer inquiries.
The force majeure situation previously announced continues to apply, with an impact on quality of service for all types of mail, including inbound and outbound letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items.
Lebanon

The designated operator of Lebanon, LibanPost, wishes to inform that, in order to combat the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lebanese Government has announced a new nationwide lockdown, effective from 14 to 30 November 2020.
LibanPost’s managerial and customer service departments will remain open during this period, but will be operating with a reduced workforce owing to social distancing measures. Similarly, the distribution network and office of exchange will continue to process mail flows, but at reduced capacity. Post offices will be subject to partial closures.
Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport will remain open and will continue to send and receive mail dispatches, with outbound mail being sent only to destinations for which air transport capacity remains available.
These measures will have an impact on delivery standards for letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items. Therefore, LibanPost is unable to guarantee compliance with the agreed standards.
Malta

The designated operator of Malta, MaltaPost p.l.c., wishes to remind that, owing to the Covid-19 emergency, inbound and outbound letter post, parcel post and EMS services continue to be severely affected as airline connectivity to Malta is operating at a very limited capacity. This disruption is expected to continue until airlines resume normal operations and sufficient transportation capacity becomes available.
In order to abide with national health guidelines, while ensuring the continuity of all its obligations towards customers, MaltaPost is also affected domestically as it is adapting its operations as appropriate to protect the health of postal workers.
Consequently, given the current state of affairs, MaltaPost cannot guarantee delivery standards and times. Delays in the processing and delivery of mail are also to be expected throughout the islands of Malta, and compliance with quality of service standards will continue to be affected by force majeure.
Morroco

The designated operator of Morocco, Poste Maroc, wishes to inform that due to strike last Friday, 13 November 2020, postal operations and the processing of inquiries were disrupted, which had an impact on quality of service indicators.
Portugal

The designated operator of Portugal, CTT Correios de Portugal, would like to inform that the situation in Portugal with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic has deteriorated. Therefore, the Portuguese Government has declared a new state of emergency, effective from 9 November 2020, which will be reassessed every two weeks.
During the state of emergency, postal services will continue to function, subject to the restrictions imposed by reinforced measures aimed at minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the health of staff and customers. Owing to social distancing measures, such as staggered shift patterns, and the implementation of mandatory isolation and quarantine requirements, CTT Correios de Portugal will be operating with a reduced workforce.
The processing and delivery of all types of service will be affected, including inbound and outbound letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items. As a result, CTT Correios de Portugal is unable to meet its contractual obligations, particularly with regard to delivery times for letters, parcels and EMS items, standard rules for collection of signature on delivery, hand delivery, tracking of shipments (capture and transmission times), processing of cash on delivery, and insured items. Therefore, the situation of force majeure previously declared will continue to apply until further notice.
Samoa

The designated operator of Samoa, Samoa Post, asks us to inform that the Government of Samoa has extended the state of emergency until 23 December 2020.
Slovenia

The designated operator of Slovenia, Pošta Slovenije, wishes to inform that the Slovenian Government has extended the formal declaration of a national COVID-19 epidemic until mid-December.
Further lockdown restrictions have been introduced throughout Slovenia in order to break the chain of infection, including the closure of all non-essential shops and the suspension of public transport services.
Pošta Slovenije will continue to provide postal services, but will operate with a reduced workforce and subject to the new lockdown restrictions and safety guidelines. The processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will continue to be affected, and Pošta Slovenije is unable to guarantee compliance with the agreed standards. Therefore, the situation of force majeure previously declared will continue to apply until further notice.
